Karma Does Not Forget

Forget about karma being always a bitch. It is not.

Karma is often referred to as a bitch. This is because karma is usually equated with comeuppance.

But karma is not all about just deserts or retribution for something nasty done towards another.

There is bad karma but there is absolutely good karma. Come to think of it, there must be loads of super-good karma out there.

Personally, I think that there is much more of this — good karma — than the bad type. I’m not one to subscribe to some philosophers saying that human beings are “intrinsically evil”. For me, human beings are inherently good.

This is not me looking at humanity through rose-tinted glasses. Doing good, being good — there is nothing bad about this, especially when the good we do for another living being is from the heart. No expectations of receiving anything in return for the good we do for another.

Take a moment to think of the nice, unexpected things that dropped on your lap for something, even remotely unrelated to a good deed, you did long ago.

It is not surprising if you are unable to recall the deed, especially if it was spontaneous and done from the heart. You might not even regard the lucky break as good karma.
